What do we mean by this? It’s simple: when marketing a service or a promotion, most businesses make the mistake in believing that their followers will naturally be hyped on what they’re offering. Not so! If you want to attract that kind of energy to your marketing campaigns you have to put it out there yourself!
Let’s say you run a car wash, and to celebrate hitting 1000 followers online you released an promotional slogan that, when said at the till, would earn your customers 50% off a car wash service. Most businesses would release the slogan once and then be done with it… But that’s not the right way to build a marketing campaign!
While the “one-and-done” promotion might earn you a few extra visits, the proper way to execute a promotion is to start by building anticipation– maybe tease the deal a few days early with posts like “Stay Tuned for a Deal” or “Something Exciting Coming Soon…” to keep your followers intrigued and checking your posts. This keeps up site traffic and gets your followers looking at your page more often!
Once you do release the promotion, really hit it home– post it multiple times a day, everyday. And make sure when your customers come in for that service that you truly give them a one of a kind experience. That way, they’ll keep coming back for more even without a current deal on!
